The New Tote Bag

Today is the release of my brand new Tote Bag! I am so excited to share this new bag with you. I know you will love it as much as I have loved making it! While I really like the market bags that I made, but I wanted to try something a bit different for this bag. The bag is a different shape and size and I feel that it fits really well with the other products that I have for you.

I first saw it as an option to test it for a fellow crocheter. Testing is where a crochet designer writes up a new pattern for something, but needs to have other people try it out to make sure everything works before they release it to public. You not only check for spelling and grammatical errors on the document, but you also make the product following the exact steps they wrote down. Then you let them know if there were any confusing parts and you get to share your picture. At the end, you get the final pattern as a thank you for testing it out. When I saw the pattern testing from Ashley from Through The Loop Yarn Craft. I had to jump at it.

This bag has a square construction. It does have a small flat bottom. It also has 2 handles. The lengths are just perfect for carrying light or heavy loads. But the thing that really makes it special is the crochet stitch that is used.

This tote bag has a fun open stitch to it. It gives the bag this amazing texture without having holes that are too big and everything falls out. It has little arches in the pattern that are the perfect thing to accent with a different color.

These totes are made from 100 percent cotton. It’s the same cotton that is used to make the oven mitts, pot holders, wash cloths, face scrubbies, and loofahs. I love using this cotton as it’s so versatile in so many things. Cotton is great for resisting heat, it soaks up water quickly, but also dries quickly so you don’t get that funny smell, It’s super strong, but best of all- it’s machine washable. Cotton is also a very eco-friendly yarn. It is made from plants and is sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable. It’s perfect for being environmentally aware.

This cotton also comes in some pretty amazing colors. There are some neutrals as well as bold colors, so there is something for everyone.

The tote can be made with all one single color, or you can have two different colors. If you choose to have two colors these bags will come as the first color as your main color, and the second color chosen will be used on every other arch pattern. See Picture Below

I played around with some different styles to see how the colors played out. If you see one of the options below that you like, just message me and I can customize your bag to be exactly how you would like it.

These tote bags can be used for so many different things. Here are just a few:

It would be great for a beach day. You can load it up with towels and sunscreen and not have to worry about it getting too sandy. The sand would just fall out of the holes and then you throw it in the wash when you get home.

Groceries- Here in Bellingham, WA we got rid of plastic bags at the grocery stores a few years ago, so everyone is used to bringing your own bag to the store. This one is a great size for when you just need to run real quick for a few things. Just keep it in your car and pull it out when needed.

This bag is great for day to day running around. It’s a great size that it’s not too big, but it’s big enough to hold the things you need. Especially if you have kids. Mine are always in need of something- snacks, water, entertainment. This bag is great for this.

It’s also perfect for bringing on day trips. Going to the zoo or the museum with the kids? Pack this along with the essentials and everyone will be happy!

This bag also makes for a great gift. It will help keep anyone organized when they leave the house. Who can you think of that this tote would make their life easier?

Thanks for checking out this amazing new tote bag. Let me know all the ways you end up using it!
